My First Blog! =)

Hi! I'm Kadi Dillon, mother-wife-author-home school teacher-photographer-babysitter. I am 22 years old and live in Oklahoma.

Writing is my passion along with raising my two little boys. They give my life meaning and I wouldn't be where I am without them. My goal with writing is just to never stop. Sales aren't all that important, of course everybody wants to make money doing what they love. But if I can touch someones life with my stories then I'm doing pretty good. I write romance and suspense. My characters quickly become my closest friends. I always give my characters the qualities I like and dislike in my own friendships and relations. It's amazing to look back and remember who I was thinking about when I made a certain character. I also give my antagonists qualities I dislike in the people I don't get along with. It's my own little kind of revenge, and I like it.

I married my husband right out of high school. We were young, but I don't regret it. My oldest son, Jace, was born a few months later. Between being a stay at home mom and babysitting for some extra income, I began to work on my first novel. It was definitely an experience. Even being an avid writer, it was harder than I imagined to finish it. SOMEWHERE I BELONG, my first novel, took me four years to complete. But when it was done, it felt amazing. My next stories took less and less effort but just as much dedication and creativity. Let's just say I found my own way of completing a story and it works for me.

Only two months ago, my husband, son, and I welcomed a new little boy into our family. Camden was born in May and is growing quickly. Once again, my life is full of things to do but I am still managing to continue working on my next novel. It's coming along famously and I can not wait to get it to an agent.

In future blogs, I am going to be writing about my writing, my family, and anything else I feel like writing about. You can follow, or you can not. But these are for me. I want to leave my mark on the world and this is just one way to go about doing it. =)
